Sarah rules. I love the way she styles this look. It is my idea of perfection. A clever interpretation of tuxedo dressing, deconstructed and put back together with her personal touch. Every single detail is brilliant: the Celine jacquard skirt maintains a classic elegant rigour; the cropped sweater an edgy alternative to the classic smoking jacket; the exposed bib of the tuxedo shirt refinely centers the look; and her Valentino's Va Va Voom and pointy stilettos are today's classic accessories.

NYFW12 Outfits #3

Ok, please be patient with me. I initially planned to publish daily outfit posts during fashion month, but I had a truckload of projects to follow at Grazia.it and stopped posting outfits on day two of NYFW. Also, and as always, I was so inspired by what my fellow editors and bloggers wore, all I want to do is post pics of them. But, I'm finally settling back into my normal routine, have a bit more free time, and plan to publish my outfits as often as possible. Joseph Reversible Shearling, Definitely a New Favorite

I picked up this Joseph reversible shearling just after Thanksgiving. It has quickly become one of my favorite jackets. It's the perfect solution for short trips, like my recent two days in Pitti. I can't remember the last time I traveled anywhere with only one jacket.

I'm wearing a pair of Club Monaco cords in the first pic and my favorite new Celine glasses.

In the second pic I wear a Borsalino hat, Banana Republic scarf, Zara pants and my trusty Celine trio.

Hanneli and I were featured in Harper's Bazaar's Get the Look: Street Style Color Blocking in Paris.  The amazing image is compliments of Mr. Newton. I love the edit.  In fact, I've been eying the Carven sweater on the top left all season.  This is definitely one of my favorite fall looks.

Featured in Vogue.com's The Social Shopper

My dear friend Hanneli and I were featured in Vogue.com's The Social Shopper this weekend. The feature was inspired by an image taken by another dear friend, Jason Jean of the lovely blog Citizen Couture. In the pic, Hanneli and I wear similar orange sweaters. Totally not planned and a fun surprise when we bumped into each other at the Tuileries in Paris, this coincidence is emblematic of the fashion relationship that friends develop over time. Like the Vogue.com piece states, "Spend enough time together and you’re sure to start finding inspiration in each other’s closets and—consciously or not—your looks will begin to morph." This is totally true, and what a better inspiration to have than the super stylish Hanneli.

Seeing the feature was an amazing way to start a beautiful Saturday. Thanks to Meredith Melling Burke and the lovely editors over at Vogue.com.

Anya Ziourova | My Kind of Tomboy

Anya looks gorgeous in anything she wears. I love her in this beautiful Celine button-down and these grey jeans. Her shoes are amazing! Lots of inspiration here for the tomboy in us all!



But wait a minute. Doesn't her look actually make you think "tomboy grown up?" Like, it's essentially what we wore when we were teenagers. But, the jeans are definitely much tighter and the sandals too high and dainty, a fashion situation which we would have scoffed at for being too feminine. However, now that we are all grown up and have become fully acquainted with the benefits of being women, body con jeans (skinny) and killer heels have a different, very sweet-not rotten ring. No? Don't you agree? In fact, I like the sound of "sexy tomboy" personally. I like it a lot. Today at age 35, sexy tomboy is the only tomboy that I want to be.

Christine and her style

I was going though my images this weekend for a project that I am working on and came across these images of the seriously stylish Christine Centenera of Harper's Bazaar Australia. She always has the most incredible accessories and outerwear. Above and below in Resort 2010's most covetable Celine jackets.

I also love that she is a huge supporter of emerging Australian designers like Dion Lee. Below, the design of her black, grey and white jacket by the designer reminds me of a star burst and goes so well with her wrap-around-the-foot Givenchy sandals.
