NYFW12's Breakout Accessory: The Baseball Cap

One of the cutest accessories on the NYFW12 streets was the baseball cap. So many gorgeous ladies showed up to the shows wearing different versions. A great way to top of all sorts of looks as seen here, they're also really practical. Mary Kate Steinmiller shared that they are one of the best ways to keep your head warm with out stressing your hair. I totally agree as I personally avoid wearing wool hats too often as they dry out my hair. Let's see if this breakout star is still covering-up gorgeous heads in the Spring. They'll look so cute with the sportier looks of the season (and even with a bikini, no?) and they're perfect for the upcoming Olympics. Anyone going?

How beautiful is Stephanie's Roksanda Ilincic blouse? It's so gorgeous! I love that she styled it with these super sweet, leather short shorts. The silhouettes work so well together and her boots give the whole look a great touch of edge. Plus, it's a great take on classic black and white.

Mix-n-Match super Flash, Inspiration NYFW

I'm at home sick with the flu that my adorable germ-wielding son passed on to me, and now his babysitter. I'm praying that my husband comes out of this unscathed by the flu germies. If not, my house will fall apart. This being the situation, I've had a lot of time to stare into my closet, from my bed, and dream up cool mix-n-match looks for New York Fashion week. Totally appropriate exercise considering my head has been spinning since Monday and everything I see and hear is a bit mixed up anyway. Here's an image that I snapped during Couture that I have been taking inspiration from. I adore this sweet mix of tie-dye combined with this colorful print skirt. It's excellent!
