Outfit Inspiration, Isabel Marant FW11/12

 

I really liked Isabel Marant's FW11/12 collection. And  heck yeah, I'm still bummed out that I couldn't get my hands on a pair of the fringe boots- to hell with personal budgetary constraints. But hey, all the more reason to be inspired to put together an outfit. Here's my take on the over all mood of the collection, lots of Navajo-inspired fringe, cool denim and a bit of cowboy. I'm wearing a suede fringe blazer from Cut, Milano, Rag & Bone Jeans, Prada thigh-high boots, a bag from Bonpoint, hat from Zara and a scarf by Max Mara. I had a lot of fun playing with this look. Joseph Reversible Shearling, Definitely a New Favorite

I picked up this Joseph reversible shearling just after Thanksgiving. It has quickly become one of my favorite jackets. It's the perfect solution for short trips, like my recent two days in Pitti. I can't remember the last time I traveled anywhere with only one jacket.

I'm wearing a pair of Club Monaco cords in the first pic and my favorite new Celine glasses.

In the second pic I wear a Borsalino hat, Banana Republic scarf, Zara pants and my trusty Celine trio.

Shiona Turini, Wednesday's Inspiration

This morning while at breakfast, I couldn't take my mind of these two images of Shiona. Maybe it's because I wore the Dries Van Noten trouser version of the skirt she is wearing in the first pic to dinner last night; or, may be I'm inspired by all the yellows, greens and reds that I'm seeing here on St. Barths. Not only on a Wednesday, but also on Monday, Tuesday, and every other day of the week, she's a huge inspiration of mine. Always smiling, funny as hell (have you followed her on twitter, hilarious), she's incredibly well put together.
